Twilight Fieldstones

IMG_8414

I took this on the way home from work last night. I have had my eye on these buildings in mostly Polish neighborhoods decorated with sections of inlaid fieldstone. This building was higher than average with thin strips of fieldstone in the brick, lit from below. This plus the twilight sky hues made me pull over to snap a few yesterday. More to come.

I love how the red from the building spreads out into the leaves - so beautiful against that evening sky. Marvelous!

Very, very cool. Was the color of the building enhanced by sodium vapor street lights? What white balance setting did you use?

Do I know the identity of yr grl?

Did you check the Buenos Aires CDPB posting today?

So many question marks. Inquiring minds want to know.

So many periods:
1. Yes, sort of. Sodium spotlight from below up the wall of the building.
2. Not sure - I was playing around a lot. The EXIF page on my flickr site says it was manual, which is wrong. I was using the presets, and was probably on something weird like shady.
3. Yes.
4. Fernandez Fierro, ole!
