Tunnel of Will

This is the pedestrian tunnel under Lake Shore Drive to Jackson Harbor. I took this shot a little while back when I was there to check out this. Anyway, that's my friend Will walking ahead of me, probably impatient with me stopping to shoot everything.

lol! Yeah, my friends get a little impatient with me at times when I go "Oooh, perhaps that would be good for my blog!" and stop dead in my tracks. No one gets more impatient than my son though. 3 year olds just don't like to stop!

Anyways, I like this photo. Not really sure why. I suppose it's how the ground starts very light then grows darker as it approaches the lone person in the tunnel.

Just left a voicemail for Will about shooting his DJ job tomorrow night. If he's impatient with you, wait till I get a hold of him.

One suggestion: the top 60% of this pic is cool and the bottom 40% isn't so interesting. If you do a similar shot again, come in closer and frame the good stuff. It will also help your light metering because you will lose the big bright foreground. This was the kind of thing Bobbi was knocking into our heads last week.

I hear ya, but that's what I like about it. The positive space traced by lines in the concrete like pencil on paper. Then it fades into a more straightforward image.

As an old fart Jesuit I once had to take a class with kept saying, "de gustibus non est disputandum" - there's no disputing taste. (Except he meant his taste, which he assumed to be the standard.)

You know, I see your point but here's an idea: use Photoshop to create a gradient on the bottom third of the picture, fading it into pure white from top to bottom. Dark tunnel into blank space as the eye goes down.
