Realized after taking this shot that my camera was set to Tv (shutter priority) when I was expecting it to be on P (program). This I believe was the state it was in when I was shot that sunset from a few days back. So there ya go, lesson learned. Well, reminder reminded, as that has happened to me before. This one was just a little underexposed though, and easily lightened in PS. I think it's a lily with a banana leaf behind it. This is at the Chicago Botanic Garden, which is right around the corner from Ravinia.

I love this! Reminds me of one of my favorite movies from my childhood, "Fern Gully." Would like to have seen what else you would have come up with had there been more time.
Nevertheless, this is a beautiful photo.
It's a gorgeous photo! What a happy mistake. Sometimes they produce the best pictures.
This is a great photo. I'd say stay with that setting, you got a lovely photograph with it. The background is so interesting !
What a wonderful mistake- the blue is so pure and the whole flower is just perfectly delicate.
I loke your Lily of the Nile shot.
Lily of the Nile, African Lily or agapanthus and this one will grow in south Florida. As a gardener I first see the plant or flower and then I look at the picture and its story. You have done a very nice job and made it a really beautiful picture.
